Light Novel Guide
The novel, the manga and the anime are related works—not interchangeable editions.
Original Japanese publication
Ryo Ariyama's novel is published by Shogakukan under Gagaga Books. Its Japanese title is ロメリア戦記 ～魔王を倒した後も人類やばそうだから軍隊組織した～. The official book guide credits illustrations to Kodama and Ryo Kamito.
The books in the official guide
The anime website's book page displays six numbered novel volumes and a separate gaiden (side-story) volume. It lists the manga in a different section, with its own subtitle and BLADE Comics imprint.
Finding the right format
- Look for the Gagaga Books imprint for the Japanese novel.
- Use the publisher listing to distinguish the manga from the prose novel.
- Confirm the language and format on the publisher or retailer listing before buying.

English novel availability
This review has not verified an English-language licence for the original novel. An English manga listing, even when verified, would not establish an English novel licence. Check the original publisher or an English publisher's accessible announcement before purchasing.
Note: Unverified is not a claim that an English edition does not exist.
